I don’t think it’s feasible to pursue a career in design while only having experience in one medium. That’s why I pride myself in being able to function in many different types of media. I enjoy being able to translate between print, web, mobile-first, and even on-air designs. Even so, the elements of good design and good usability are almost universal, and I’m always thinking of ways to improve “using” some kind of media.
I grew up in Northern Virginia, the suburbs of Washington D.C. I graduated from James Madison University with a degree in the School of Media Arts and Design. My previous employers are the Shakespeare Theatre Company, National Geographic Society, National Geographic Partners, and The Washington Post.
